DONATION POLICIES:
We
are currently taking donations 7 days a week!
The Depot Staff only has space to handle limited amounts of many items.
To assure your entire donation will be accepted, please call
ahead for pre-approval. 510.547.6470.
Some items you have donated in the past may not be accepted, and sometimes
items we are currently selling cannot be accepted to do limited storage
space for our inventory. Please respect our staff and the neighborhood
by not dumping. We will be happy to provide you with a reuse and recycling
guide for any donation we cannot handle.
Repeat: If you do not call ahead, we cannot guarentee we will accept
your donation.

Donation Location: Donations should be
taken to the loading dock entrance in the rear of the store,
on Shattuck Ave. between 47th and 46th St. If the gate and doors are
closed, either inform the clerk at the register or call 547-6470.
It is the donations from businesses, nonprofit partners, and generous customers that make the Depot such a exciting and unique place. Contrary to popular belief, we don't take everything. Please check the following donation guidelines, and call or email with questions. Donations should be as clean an organized as possible.

3-ring binders (we're stuffed with 'em), blank or home-recorded VHS tapes, tiles, most Christmas gear, kitchen gear & utensils, encyclopedias, text books, computers and computer parts, electric typewriters, plumbing, clothing, lumber & large wood, building materials (doors & windows), styrofoam peanuts and packing chunks, some types of food packaging, plastic bags, hardware bits, house paint, any toxic or hazardous materials, suitcases, most large appliances, bedding & sheets, pillows, drapes - blinds - curtains, anything moldy, anything smelly, anything that needs a lot of cleaning or fixing
